What is Yoga? (continued)
These practices increase muscular strength
and skeletal flexibility while at the same time improving the functioning of the digestive, glandular, nervous, cardiovascular
and immune systems through enhanced assimilation, elimination and circulation. Hence the negative effects
of stress and environmental pollution are reduced through this life transforming practice.
Yoga and meditation are a gateway to self-knowledge through non-judgmental self-awareness allowing us to release
limiting habits and emotional blockages. You will discover a more profound meaning to your life and you'll be increasingly
aware of your intuition which in turn will bring you greater guidance. As a result of a steady practice you will attain higher
energy levels and greater endurance. Yet you will also feel calmer, more confident and motivated with positive feelings towards
oneself and others. Yoga gives us tools to nurture our body, mind and spirit thus facilitating the manifestation of our ultimate well being.
